What is a Check/Bill?

The document and system used to see the type and quantity of service provided in detail and to track it in various businesses is called a Check/Bill (Adisyon in Turkish). The check system, generally used in services such as cafes and restaurants, has become mandatory for businesses providing table service. In addition, the date and time on the check, and the check being printed by a contracted printing house, is an official indication that the check is valid and in accordance with the law.

The first copy of checks is given to the customer with an invoice or sales receipt. The second copy remains in the business. The check is created when the order is taken from the customer and given to the customer. After the service is finished, the check is presented to the customer and the bill is paid according to the information on the check. However, the check is not a document proving payment.
